I don't think it's controversial to say it's very very hard to beat traditional fresh good quality fish and chips made in your local chippy. From experience, lots of experience, I was going to suggest The Magpie in Whitby or one or two in Amble as the best I've found. None of these are far from RK headquarters so to see Time Out listing The Magpie it as their #1 in 2024 tilts it as our #1.
